Convicted Sex Offender Sought By Richmond County Sheriff’s Office
According to Investigator Charles Mulherin, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) is looking for a convicted sex offender from Michigan. The person is identified as 48-year-old Albert Leonard Floyd. Floyd registered with the Michigan State Police that he was moving to Augusta, GA. As of Wednesday, October 7th, Floyd has failed to register with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Augusta, GA—According to Investigator Charles Mulherin, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) is looking for a convicted sex offender from Michigan. The person is identified as 48-year-old Albert Leonard Floyd.
Floyd registered with the Michigan State Police that he was moving to Augusta, GA. As of Wednesday, October 7th, Floyd has failed to register with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Before departing from Michigan, Floyd advised the state of Michigan that he would be living at an address in south Augusta. Investigators with the RCSO Sex Offender Unit attempted to locate Floyd at the address but found that he had given Michigan a bad address. The location of Floyd is currently unknown.
Investigators are asking that the public notify RCSO with any information on the whereabouts of Floyd. Floyd was convicted of “Taking Indecent Liberties With Children” in North Carolina, in 1997, and “Children - Accosting For Immoral Purposes” in Michigan, in 2003.
