UPDATED: Burke County Home Invasion Suspect Arrested

According to Sgt. Dan Lowe, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office needs the help of the public to help apprehend George Michael Hinton, who’s wanted in Burke County for a Armed Robbery which occurred back on May 22nd, 2009. UPDATE: Hinton has been arrested in Bulloch County.

UPDATE: Sgt. Lowe informs WJBF News Channel 6 that Hinton has been arrested in Bulloch County. Hinton is also being charged in two home invasions that were committed Monday night in Evans County.

Burke County, GA—According to Sgt. Dan Lowe, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office needs the help of the public to help apprehend George Michael Hinton, who’s wanted in Burke County for a Armed Robbery which occurred back on May 22nd, 2009.

Hinton is also wanted in a home invasion in Burke County, which occurred Sunday morning, May 31st, 2009 at approximately 12:00 a.m. During the home invasion, the suspect stole a 2005 Ford Five Hundred from the victim. The vehicle is green, bearing Georgia tag number BWI 4296.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Hinton is described as being 6’0”, weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

Hinton is also wanted by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office for felony theft by taking.
