Augusta, GA—Lisa Wiggins, Says home was broken into twice in one day: “They stopped it up, it was stopped up with a rag or something.“
They, are the burglars. Lisa Wiggins says, Friday afternoon, when no one was home, someone kicked in their back door and ransacked her house.
Wiggins: “They snatched the curtains out of the window, they just destroyed they kicked down this door right here.“
But it wasn’t over, the family left for the evening and when they returned home the next morning, they realized they’d been hit again.
Wiggins: “I came home, they had broken the door again, the door was wide open. When I came in, all of this was thrown down, the living room was cleaned up, all of this was thrown down on the floor.“
The suspects clogged up the bathroom sink, toilet and tub causing the downstairs to flood.
Wiggins: “The water was running, it ran all on the floor. As you can see right here, you can see me mash the water up out of the floor with my foot. That is the water that’s soaked down there. Everything is just destroyed. I mean it’s wet, and the mildew, you can smell the mildew now there’s mildew. Now we have nothing, we don’t even have a place to stay.“
A single mom of 6 children, Lisa says she hopes someone has it in their heart to come forward with any information on who, or why, someone would have done this to her family.
Wiggins: “It’s sad that somebody come in here and do us like that for no reason. And I just don’t know why I mean this is just a sad situation.“
Witnesses say they saw 2 men hanging around the home prior to the break in’s, but we’re told police have no leads. If you know anything call your local sheriff’s office.
