Harlem, GA—Larry Wolf, Quality Trailers office manager: “This is the type of trailer that is being taken from this lot.”

4 trailers, 2 months, all with in 1 mile of each other. The suspects hitting small town businesses in Harlem, like Quality Trailers.

Wolf: “We have had people calling inquiring about trailers and all and they, seems like after we do that and all, the trailers, they come up missing.”

Larry Wolf is the office manager for Quality Trailers. He says the $3,000 trailers are likely being resold.

Wolf: “Less than $3,000, I would frown about buying it if someone would approach me on it.”

The suspects are nowhere to be found, and neither are the trailers that were taken, from both of their lots.

Wolf: “I can’t understand why the patrol, especially being right here on the corner, right here at the red light, could not observe them doing it.”

Wolf and his co-workers decided to take matters into their own hands.

Wolf: “After the break in, we’ve come up and beefed up this locking system. We put this metal plate on here. We put these plates over the hinges so they can’t lift the gate off.”

Security cameras are being installed, and extra lights will be added…but they’re not done.

Wolf: “We’re offering a $3,000 reward.”

Half of what they’ve lost in retail…but a price tag that is well worth it to them, to catch their suspects.

Wolf: “$3,000 we’ll be happy to pay because it will keep them from stealing the trailers, maybe.”

An official with the Harlem Police Department admits an officer should have recognized Quality Trailers gate was open. He says they’re working with surrounding counties, who also have trailer thefts, to see if any connection can be made.
