There was another murder in Aiken County Monday night. It happened just outside the city limits of North Augusta on the corner of Weston Drive and Crestlyn Drive. This was the third homicide in Aiken County in the last four days.

Aiken County, SC—There was another murder in Aiken County Monday night. It happened just outside the city limits of North Augusta on the corner of Weston Drive and Crestlyn Drive.
Investigators say Paul Joseph Lirley was shot to death around 7:00 p.m.
Monday night’s shooting makes three homicides in the last four days in Aiken County.
Sgt. Dave Myers, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office: “There’s no answer, crime happens in cycles. These particular murders, in the last four days, are all different in nature, different locations in the county, there’s not a whole lot you can comment on in terms of ‘can it be prevented?‘ It is what it is, so to speak.“
So far, there have been no suspects named in Monday night’s shooting.
