Augusta, GA—In a WJBF News Channel 6 Crime Tracker Report, an Augusta man is convicted of shooting and killing an Augusta teenager.

Tuesday morning, Judge Sheryl Jolly sentenced James Earl Wright to 20 years in prison for killing Glenn Doe.

According to prosecutors, an ongoing argument between the two led to the fatal shooting, back in November 2008.

Wright’s attorney claims his client was acting in self-defense when he shot Doe, however, Judge Jolly says, because Wright fired the gun eight times, she does not believe it was in self-defense.
