According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety (ADPS) is looking for a suspect in a Tuesday morning robbery in Aiken. Sgt. Dowdy says, Tuesday morning, at about 05:45 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at the Kangaroo Express at the intersection of Richland Avenue West at University Parkway (3540 Richland Avenue West).
Aiken, SC—According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety (ADPS) is looking for a suspect in a Tuesday morning robbery in Aiken.
Sgt. Dowdy says, Tuesday morning, at about 05:45 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at the Kangaroo Express at the intersection of Richland Avenue West at University Parkway (3540 Richland Avenue West).
The suspect produced a black pistol from his pocket and demanded the money from the clerk. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled the scene. He was seen driving away from the scene in a dark colored truck.
The suspect is described as a black male, 45-55 years of age, 5’11” tall, and about 175 pounds. ADPS is asking for any information from the public that may help in solving this crime. Callers can remain anonymous by calling 1-888-CRIME-SC, and may be eligible for a cash reward of between $50-$1,000. Callers can also call the ADPS tip line and remain anonymous, at 803-642-7799.
