Toys For Tots Helps Make This Christmas Merrier For Local Children

The finally numbers have been tallied in this year’s Toys For Tots Drive in the CSRA. WJBF News Channel 6 was proud to be a part of this annual event with our drives at CSRA Wal-Mart locations.

Augusta, GA—The finally numbers have been tallied in this year’s Toys For Tots Drive in the CSRA. WJBF News Channel 6 was proud to be a part of this annual event with our drives at CSRA Wal-Mart locations.

According to Staff Sergeant James K. Donnelly, United States Marine Corps, this year, a total of $30,384.95 in donations was raised, and 31,260 toys were donated to Toys for Tots. Overall, 40,231 toys were given out to 4,594 children in the community, and that averages out to 8.7 toys per child.
