LOS ANGELES (AP) - “Mad Men” repeats as the Emmy winner for the best drama series. “30 Rock” claims its third straight comedy series trophy.
Glenn Close is also a repeat winner. She takes the lead actress trophy for her performance as a ruthless trial attorney on “Damages.“ Bryan Cranston’s turn as a meth-making teacher on “Breaking Bad” wins the actor honors in the drama category at Sunday’s award ceremony.
On the comedy side, Alec Baldwin of “30 Rock” and Toni Collette of “United States of Tara” take lead acting Emmys.
“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” wins the Emmy for best variety, music or comedy series. That’s the seventh straight win for The Daily Show.
