BANGKOK (AP) - Actor David Carradine has been found dead in Bangkok.
A Thai newspaper cites unidentified police sources as saying the star of the 1970s TV series “Kung Fu” was found Thursday morning hanged in his luxury hotel room.
The Nation went on to say Carradine was in Bangkok to shoot a movie.
The newspaper reports Carradine could not be contacted after he failed to appear for a meal with the rest of the film crew yesterday, and that his body was found by a hotel maid at 10 a.m. this morning.
The paper says a preliminary police investigation found the 72-year-old actor hanged himself with a curtain cord. It quotes police as saying he had been dead at least 12 hours and there is no sign that he had been assaulted.
Carradine was a leading member of a Hollywood acting family that included his father John and brother Keith. He appeared in more than 100 feature films.
