A frantic woman tells emergency operators she found television pitchman Billy Mays cold and unresponsive on 911 tapes released by authorities in Florida. The boisterous, bearded Mays was known for pitching cleaning products and gadgets in commercials that aired nationwide. The 50-year-old was found dead by his wife Sunday morning.
Autopsy Planned For TV Pitchman Billy Mays
Television viewers knew him as the OxiClean guy: the bearded, boisterous pitchman on commercials airing hundreds of times a week nationwide. “Hi. Billy Mays here,“ he would begin, before showing off his latest cleaning product or gadget. Family, friends and colleagues mourned Mays, 50, who was found unresponsive in his Tampa home Sunday, and awaited an autopsy to determine the cause of his sudden death. The coroner’s office expected to have the autopsy done by Monday afternoon.

Wrestler Chris Benoit’s Doctor Sentenced To 10 Years
The personal doctor to a professional wrestler who killed himself, his wife and their 7-year-old son was sentenced to 10 years in prison for illegally distributing prescription drugs to patients. Dr. Phil Astin was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty Jan. 29 to 175 counts, none of which included wrestler Chris Benoit, who killed his family before committing suicide in 2007 in their suburban Atlanta home.
