Reno, NV—They’re old enough to vote and old enough to fight for our country, but should 18-year olds be allowed to gamble? You decide.
In Reno, Nevada members of the state gaming control board are looking into changing the legal gambling age from 21 to 18.
A lawyer for a gaming company proposed the plan, saying it will open up more opportunity for Nevada to get more money.
The trying economic times are causing some to cutback on their gambling.
It’s a misdeameanor for anyone under 21 to gamble in Nevada.
Opening up the age would allow an additional 12-million americans to make bets.
