A Virginia lottery misprint is causing some people to have a fit. Should officials pay up? You decide
Judy Waters is one of hundreds who won a math lottery game.
But when she went to redeem it, she was told things didn’t add up.
A convenience store clerk broke the news to Waters that a computer glitch caused several people to win, and it was all a mistake.
So instead of $7,777 Waters was offered $2 for her ticket.
Waters: “I don’t see how that’s my problem. It’s not my fault there was a computer glitch. They should stand by what they did.“
Lottery Officials are working with the Attorney General to come up with a solution.
Some of the prizes have been redeemed for lower values.
Should the lottery pay up… tell us what you think!
