Snowmass, CO—You’ve probably seen bears at the zoo…or maybe even in the woods…even reports of bears in the CSRA, but have you ever seen one at a skateboard park?
That’s where this creature ended up getting stuck, in Colorado!
Authorities say they got a call that the bear was trapped in the skateboard park’s bowl Tuesday, so they dropped a ladder down for the beast.
The bear eventually climbed out and went about its business.

Was this a “public” skateboard park? How is it that a bowl like this gets built and doesn’t have any emergency access or egress in case of accidents involving the skaters who use the bowl? Surely there must be steps or something for getting in and out of the bowl? Don’t tell me the folks responsible for the bowl just figure a skater with a broken leg can just skate her/his way up out of the bowl.
Just wondering. What if this had been a child who slid into the bowl and was unconscious? How long before the child would be found?
