SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Police are searching for a would-be robber in Southfield after he attempted to loot the Bank of America branch, Monday morning.

He didn’t get away with any green though, because the teller told him the bank simply didn’t have any money.

The man, described by witnesses as an Africa-American male in his 30’s, with dark complexion and wearing a black shirt, handed the teller a note that said, “Give me all the 100s, 50s and 20s, this is a robbery.“

After he heard the bank was out of cash, he turned and left.

Southfield Police are still searching for the suspect.
