DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Music magazine Paste is keeping its doors open for now.
Editor-in-chief Josh Jackson said Wednesday that the suburban Atlanta-based monthly has raised more than $250,000 from 10,000 donors to help keep the magazine afloat. The magazine launched a “Save Paste” campaign last month after announcing it would have to shutter without help from readers.
Jackson said the campaign will wrap up this month. He says the budget shortfall was from declining advertising revenue.
Donors receive exclusive tracks from artists including the Indigo Girls, Josh Rouse, Matthew Sweet and The Decemberists.
Paste has a circulation of 205,000 but says it draws nearly 1 million online viewers a month.
