CYBERSPACE (AP) - Speaking freely has been one of Courtney Love trademarks over the years. Except now, some of those rants posted online have landed her in court. A fashion designer is suing the rock star charging her with libel and breach of contract.

And some of the evidence includes what the plaintiff calls “menacing and disturbing” statements Love allegedly posted on the Internet.

The designer, known in fashion circles as Boudoir Queen claims Love stiffed her for some work she did. In the suit, she cites remarks from Love’s Twitter and MySpace pages, in which Love calls her a “nasty lying hosebag thief” and accuses her of being a drug addict and a prostitute. Phone messages left late last week for Love’s publicist weren’t returned.
