“Paranormal Activity” cuts “Saw” down to size.
LOS ANGELES (AP) - “Paranormal Activity” cuts “Saw” down to size. The low-budget “Paranormal” moves up to number-one after going into nationwide release, with $22 million this weekend. “Saw Six” opens in second. “Paranormal” also has a shot at breaking the $100 million mark—something no “Saw” movie has ever done. “Where the Wild Things Are” drops from first to third, with a total of 54 mil after two weeks. “Law Abiding Citizen” is fourth, followed by “Couples Retreat.“
