ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Georgia has found an option quarterback to lead its scout team offense as it prepares to face Georgia Tech.

Bacarri Rambo, a freshman safety from Donalsonville, Ga., is being redshirted this year, but he was in the spotlight Wednesday as Georgia had its first practice for next week’s game against Georgia Tech.

Georgia coach Mark Richt said Rambo “is a very talented runner and passer. He’s not a bad quarterback.“

Georgia will have another practice on Thursday before Richt gives his players three days off.

The 13th-ranked Bulldogs have an open date this Saturday after playing four consecutive weeks on the road.
