Perry, SC Woman Dies In Wagener, SC Crash
According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, Geneise R. Williams, 43, of Perry, SC was pronounced dead at the scene of a 3:00 p.m. car crash in Wagener, SC on Sunday.
Aiken, SC—According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, Geneise R. Williams, 43, of Perry, SC was pronounced dead at the scene of a 3:00 p.m. car crash in Wagener, SC on Sunday.
Williams was the seat-belted passenger in a 2005 Nissan Altima, driven by Jennifer Abney of Irmo, SC. Abney and Williams were traveling north on South Dixie Road, in Wagener, when Abney failed to yield the right of way while attempting to make a left turn on to Holiness Church Road. The Nissan was struck in the passenger side by a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 18-year-old Ronnie H. Toole, Jr., of Salley, SC. Toole was traveling south on South Dixie Road.
Abney was transported to MCG shock trauma, with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Toole had no life threatening injuries and remained at the scene.
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. This is the third fatal crash in Aiken County this year.
