North Augusta, SC—In North Augusta, investigators are looking into a suspicious house fire that happened shortly after 11:30 pm Friday night.  It took 5 different crews, with 3 more on standby to put out the house fire on Old Sudlow Lake Road, that’s a few miles off Highway 1.  Investigators say when they showed up to the home, they found something very suspicious on the home, something that neighbors say wasn’t there earlier in the day.

Chief Phil Napier, Graniteville Fire Department:  “As we arrived on the scene we found the house totally engulfed in flames we found out that all 3 residences who live close together are out of town on a cruise and there’s some bad language written all over the house and so it’s suspicious so we turned it over to the sheriff’s office for investigation.”

No one was hurt, but there was some extensive damage done to the neighbors’ house as well.
