Shots fired as teens hold up Aiken store
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two teenagers, who fired shots as they robbed the Broadwater Convenience Store in Aiken Thursday night. The sheriff’s office says the robbery happened at 10:00 p.m. when the two teens, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun and the other with a revolver, ran into the store. They demanded and received an amount of money from the clerk.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two teenagers, who fired shots as they robbed the Broadwater Convenience Store in Aiken Thursday night. The sheriff’s office says the robbery happened at 10:00 p.m. when the two teens, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun and the other with a revolver, ran into the store. They demanded and received an amount of money from the clerk. The gunmen also grabbed several packs of cigarettes. As the teenagers were about to leave, one ordered the clerk to lie on the floor, at which point, the gunman fired the shotgun into the ceiling, according to investigators. No one was injured.
The Aiken Bloodhound Tracking Team responded and tracked the individuals toward Chavous Road.
The Aiken County Public Safety Department issued the following descriptions of the suspects:
Suspect #1:
Gender: Male Race: Black Age: 16-18 Height: 5’5” Weight: 130lbs Other: Blue bandana over face and armed with revolver.
Subject #2:
Gender: Male Race: Black Age: 16-18 Height: 5’9” Weight: 150lbs Other: Black ski mask and armed with shotgun.
