David Lee Roth finally got to play the gig he always wanted: at his uncle's tiny club in New York.
Roth, Eddie and Alex Van Halen and Eddie's son Wolfgang played a Van Halen show Thursday at Cafe Wha? in New York.
Roth says he used to wander through the club as a kid and dreamed of playing on that stage.
He says it took 50 years to finally do it and "it was easier to get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame than to get this gig."
Van Halen will release a new album called "A Different Kind of Truth" on February 7th. They will kick off a tour February 16 in Louisville, Kentucky. Kool and the Gang will open on select dates.
